Instructions

  1. 1.Step onto the treadmill and select your preferred option from the menu.
  2. 2.Begin running and as you run, maintain good running posture by keeping your torso upright and looking forwards.
  3. 3.Avoid looking down or holding on to the sides of the treadmill and swing your arms as you run.
  4. 4.You should always aim to strike the ground with the middle of your foot and not your heel to reduce impact stress.
  5. 5.Continue for as long as is required.

Tips

  • Variation: you can increase the inclination of the treadmill 1 - 2% to simulate the wind resistance if you were running outdoors.
  • Don't forget to cool down at the end of the exercise.
  • Make sure you have good running shoes when running on the treadmill.
  • Keep your body upright throughout the exercise and don't slouch.

Breathing Instructions

Breathe as you normally would, breathing through the mouth as your heart rate rises.
