Instructions
- 1.Load weight onto the calf machine and sit down on the machine. Position your lower thighs underneath the pads and place the balls of your feet on the platform.
- 2.Flex your calf muscles and raise the pads up, removing the safety bar in the process. This is your starting position.
- 3.Carefully lower the pads to the lowest point, allowing your calves to stretch using the full range of motion allowing your heels to go below the level of your toes.
- 4.At the bottom of the movement, press the pads up by flexing your calf muscles and pressing through the balls of your feet to return the starting position.
- 5.Repeat for as many repetitions as required. Remember to restore the safety bars when done with the exercise.
Tips
- Be mindful of your own range of motion and feel the natural limits of your body as over stretching could lead to injury.
- Perform the reps slowly and in a controlled manner. Technique first, weight second!.
Breathing Instructions
Breathe as you would normally.
