Instructions
- 1.Put a bench sideways in front of a cable machine configured with a pulley at the highest point and select a weight.
- 2.Using a straight bar attachment, face away from the machine towards the bench and kneel down on the floor holding the bar above your head.
- 3.Place you elbows, triceps and head on the bench, holding your forearms at a 90 degree angle to your upper arms. This is your starting position.
- 4.Extend your arms forward, contracting your tricep muscles until your arms are parallel with the floor.
- 5.After a brief pause, slowly return to the starting position.
- 6.Repeat for as many repetitions as required.
Tips
- You can also perform this exercise without the bench.
- Perform the reps slowly and in a controlled manner.
Breathing Instructions
Breathe in during the eccentric (lowering) portion of the exercise and breathe out during the cocentric (elevation) portion.
